SEM Rust Trap works on steel (rusted and clean), prepared painted surface and aluminum to full effect. Paint this product directly onto applicable surfaces (including bare, sanded steel) to seal current rust and prevent new rust from forming. The application cures quickly, drying to leave a rock-hard, non-porous finish that’s impervious to moisture and other detractors that could incite rust. When allowed to cure completely, SEM Rust Trap leaves behind a finish that’s chip-, peel- and crack-proof.
Unlike other rust treatment epoxies that may dry matte or off-colored, this product dries to a glossy finish that’s highly presentable. Fast coverage dries evenly—especially when applied via spray gun—to leave a resilient top coat that’s smooth and clean. As a topcoat, the finished product boasts astounding UV resistance.
