PUMPKIN "ZHDANA"
a new variety developed by Ukrainian breeders. One of the best table varieties. The pulp is thick, tender, orange, very sweet, the fruit is segmented, flattened (stronger near the stalk, less at the top of the fruit). The average weight is 4.4-6.3 kg, the weight of individual fruits reaches 11-13 kg.
The color of the peel is light gray; it turns red during storage. The pulp is red-orange, thick (6.0-9.0 cm), sweet. The seeds are very large. The optimal ratio of the content of sugars and acids in pumpkin makes it possible to use it raw, as well as for processing into juice, puree, chips, etc.
Its fruits contain 13-16% dry matter, 8-10% sugars and 10-12% carotene. The palatability of this pumpkin fruit is estimated at 4.8-5.0 points. Pumpkin "Zhdana" - weakly affected by powdery mildew and Bashtanovy popelite, which is especially important, the fruits are stored for a long time (more than 150 days). The marketable yield of the variety is 30-60 t / ha.
It can be used for making juice, mashed potatoes, various cereals, casseroles, etc. Transportable, very productive, resistant to diseases.
