This shiny bronze Thai Gong provides a tone and resonance that is profoundly healing. Heated and hammered and polished in rural Thailand, away from the clamor of civilization, the purity of intention comes through its sound.
We named it the Buddha’s Heart Gong because the grand compassion in Siddharta, that he would have an incarnation in which he became enlightened and then teach others this path of spiritual growth, and then once departed from his body, still work with others to achieve liberation.
Catholics speak of the sacred heart of Jesus, but let us not forget the spiritual heart of his good friend Gautama Buddha as well. This gong reminds us of this grand compassion, both in look and sound.
